Financing HPV vaccination in developing countries
85% of deaths occur because of cervical cancer occur in developing countries
The Lancet "5 years have passed since the first vaccines against the human papillomaviruses (HPV) that cause cervical cancer came onto the market. At the end of 2010, 33 countries had national HPV immunisation programmes. However, few of these initiatives were in developing countries and none were in Africa," reports The Lancet.
