Men for Gender Justice: Breaking cycles of violence against women and girls

Violence against women and girls remains globally pervasive, persisting at stubbornly high levels, across all types of communities. Eliminating violence against women has as much to do with normative change in societies as with behavioural change in individuals. There is a growing recognition that men and boys are important actors in this effort. What are the achievements, opportunities and challenges of working with men and boys in different settings to reduce violence against women? How can prevention and accountability strategies be improved? What should Geneva-based organisations be doing better?
