WHO Code of Practice on health workers risks being 'toothless tiger' warns Action for Global Health
EU must stop targeting health professionals from the developing world
AFGH "Action for Global Health welcomes a new Code of Practice from the World Health Organisation (WHO) which aims to stem the flow of health workers leaving poor countries for rich ones. The code will have a significant impact on the current deplorable shortage of health workers in low-income countries. The current gap is 4.3mn medical professionals according to the WHO. However, the voluntary nature of the Code leaves it vulnerable to dilution or being ignored."
