A critical path for the first 1,000 days of the Sustainable Development Goals

Leaving no one behind

developmentprogress.org "Leaving no one behind is the moral issue of our age, and is at the heart of an ambitious blueprint for action: the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Now the focus is on implementation, particularly at the national level. This report shows that early action ist critical, the ambition to leave no one behind will become far more difficult the longer governments delay. (...) Marginalised people say what they want from their governments: better services such as universal health coverage and rural electrification; greater public awareness, such as creating environments where all girls are expected to go to school; and institutional and legal reform, including the extension of a minimum wage to informal workers, or the introduction of women’s land rights."
