Nursing, Migration and Globalisation

Worldwide migration has become to a formative phenomenon in the last couple of years. The nursing staffs are affected by this in a specific way: Emigration and nursing crisis in the global South, increasing cultural diversity among the health personnel and the patients in the North. What are the opportunities and changes, and what are the challenges connected with these trends? The MMS bulletin takes a closer look on these questions – mainly from the students’ perspective of the master’s program of Nursing Science at the University of Basel.
