Network Medicus Mundi Switzerland The Network Medicus Mundi Switzerland (MMS), whose goal is the Right to Health for All, has the pleasure to invite you on Tuesday February 7th, 2017 at 6 pm at la Maison des Arts du Grütli to celebrate the opening of its new office for the Suisse romande which is located in Grand Saconnex, Geneva. With this opening, our organization hopes to reinforce its engagement and presence in the Suisse romande area and also to facilitate the interaction with its members, civil society, international organizations, as well as the academia in the international health cooperation.
In the presence of Liliane Maury Pasquier, member of the Swiss Council of States for the canton of Geneva, Dr. Jean Martin, former Chief Medical Officer of the canton of Vaud and former medical officer at WHO, and Thomas Vogel, President of Medicus Mundi Switzerland, there will be a viewing of the documentary film “Myanmar Midwife” which highlights the challenges facing maternal and neonatal care in low income countries. The film will be followed by a discussion and a cocktail reception.

Myanmar Midwife takes an eye-opening look at the situation for trained midwife Daw Nweni Cho, who serves seven villages with a total population of 2,760 people in the Yangon River delta two hours to the north-east of the country's former capital, Yangon.
