Graduate Institute Geneva The Global Health Programme at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies is offering this intensive five-day course in response to the demand for new skills as health moves beyond its purely technical realm to become an ever more critical element in foreign policy, security policy and trade agreements. Since 2007, nearly 200 professionals from various sectors have benefited from this course, which focuses on health diplomacy and negotiations, with a new thematic emphasis each year. This year's course will explore current debates in global health diplomacy at the interface of health and foreign policy. A special focus will be given to health security, the venues of global health diplomacy (WHO, UN, WTO) and the possible contributions of finance ministers to health-related issues.
