Stefan E. Germann | It is a sad fact that people who get sick and die from AIDS are mostly young adults of reproductive age. They are the providers, carers, teachers, and the parents. Through the death of parents, the children are deprived of their rights to love, care and the means to emotional maturity. Children living in a world with AIDS have been neglected by policy-developmakers over the past years.

Irene Bush | Die Stiftung Aids & Kind organisiert seit 2002 regelmässig Treffen für Jugendliche, die in der Schweiz mit HIV/Aids leben, um ihnen einen direkten Austausch über ihre Erfahrungen und ihren Umgang mit der Krankheit zu ermöglichen. Für das Treffen im November 2004 wollten sich die Jugendlichen mit dem Thema Schatzkästchen (Memory Boxes) befassen.

This article will focus on hero books, which as far as Memory and Life Story Work go, are a particularly child centered and child focused intervention.
