Bern, 9. September 2010

aidsfocus.ch | Good nutrition can help to maintain and improve the health and the quality of life of people living with HIV and AIDS. It can delay the progression from HIV to AIDS-related diseases. However, good nutrition cannot cure AIDS or prevent HIV infection or be a substitute for antiretroviral treatment. A healthy and balanced diet helps to maintain and improve the performance of the immune system and therefore helps a person to stay healthy. Good nutrition will complement and reinforce the effect of any medication taken.
