Impressive progress to leprosy elimination

"Leprosy has become the major public health success story. The elimination strategy of reducing the disease burden by changing public perception of leprosy and improving patients access to free high quality treatment is working. India and Angola are the latest additions to the long list of countries which have eliminated the disease as a public health problem – i.e. reaching a prevalence rate of less than one case per 10 000 inhabitants."
