„Get on“ in Lesotho

CIPHER Grant für Dr. Alain Amstutz an der AIDS 2018

SolidarMed Auszeichnung an der Internationalen AIDS-Konferenz 2018 in Amsterdam für das Projekt und die Studie „Get on“ in Lesotho. Ziel des Projektes ist eine verbesserte Diagnose und Behandlung von HIV positiven Jugendlichen. Zentrale Elemente sind HIV – Selbsttests, dezentrale Medikamentenversorgung in den Gemeinden, sowie Unterstützung durch Jugendgruppen. Das Projekt wird gemeinsam von SolidarMed, dem Swiss TPH, der Abteilung Biomedizin der Universität Basel und dem Gesundheitsministerium Lesothos durchgeführt. “The CIPHER grant enables me and my team to focus our clinical HIV research on one of the most burdened and vulnerable populations … It is a big honour becoming a grantee of such a renowned funding body and will provide me with a fundamental stepping stone in my career.” (Foto: Alain Amstutz bei der Prämierung @ AIDS 2018 in Amsterdam/ © SolidarMed)
