Medicus Mundi International (MMI) The Network Medicus Mundi Switzerland (MMS) is mandated by Medicus Mundi International – Network Health for All (MMI) to host the MMI Executive Secretariat. MMI is a network of organizations working in the field of international health cooperation and global health. The Network promotes access to health and health care as a fundamental human right and supports the efforts undertaken in this respect by its members. MMI is an NGO in official relations with the World Health Organization.
To support the MMI Board and Executive Secretary in the definition and implementation of strategies and concepts for fundraising, strategic communication and membership consolidation and promotion, we are looking for a
Fundraising and Strategic Communication Officer (30% FTE)
Temporary post, 15 months, starting on 1 January 2019 or upon agreement
Place of work: MMS/MMI office in Basel or Geneva
Qualifications: Formal education and/or proven track record in nonprofit management, fundraising and communication. Good knowledge of the field of international (development) cooperation and related communication challenges and funding opportunities (in Switzerland and beyond). Dedicated communicator and networker, with effective verbal and written communication skills and able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences. Excellent written and oral English (only formal working language). Excellent background and skills in online communications including the use of social media and web publishing tools.
