Strong PHC - Foundation of the Health System

SMIH For the last 10 years, Bosnia & Herzegovina has actively implemented a major family medicine reform. The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation strongly supported this effort with technical expertise provided by the Geneva University Hospitals. Under the guidance of Dr Nicolas Perone and a very dynamic Bosnian team, the successive phases of the FAMI project led to the founding of the Fondacija FAMI. In order to bring together regional and international expertise in the field of family medicine, Fondacija FAMI is organizing a conference in Banja Luka on primary health care strengthening as a foundation of health systems.
