Supportive supervision as a strategy to improve primary healthcare services in Sub-Saharan Africa

Swiss TPH A systematic review investigating the effects of supervision provided under a supportive or facilitative model on quality of care in low-resource primary health care (PHC) settings was done in the framework of Evidence for Action (E4A) programme. The review is a result of a collaboration of researchers from the UK, Denmark and Rwanda, and aimed to inform the programme design of the E4A programme in Ghana.

Dr Adriane Martin Hilber and Carolyn Blake from the SCIH co-authored the review that was published in the International Journal of Gynecology & Obstetrics.
